New Upcoming Artist: Tiff Loc

Straight outta Compton, by way of Victorville, there is a new and upcoming rapper by the name of Tiff Loc with a Mixtape T.O.T. (coming out soon). She is 19 and bringing something to her music that she feels is missing from the game right now. Tiff Loc has been spitting about 3 years, and although it started out as a way to relieve agitation, she has turned her stress reliever into something that she now truly enjoys. When proposed with the question of what is her favorite song, that of which she made, she simply said that she has no favorite because all her songs have a meaning behind them and mean something to her. So I take it you wont just be gettin songs that are made just to be out from her. Maybe the reason why there's meaning behind her music is because some of her musical inspirations are The Game, Jeezy, and Mr. Carter himself, Jay-Z. And we all know these are a few musicians that write according to real life situations, experiences, triumphs, and disappointments. Even though I havent personally heard Tiff Loc's music I would say she's not out making a** shaking and "throw ya money in the club" type music. Just adhereing to what/who she truly is. Update on Derrion Albert

4 young men have been arrested and charged with Derrion's Death. Ages range from 19-16 years old, Silvonus Shannon (19) Eugene Riley (18) Eric Clarson (16) fourth guy not named just yet… these four young men need prayer just as well as the Family of Derrion Albert does. Horrible that they will spend damn near the rest if their lives behind bars over something that could’ve been avoided. This makes my heart weak!!

Senseless Acts!!

Today, I came across the Derrion Albert story/video, and it truly made me sick to my stomach! How can our youth be so simple minded and heartless as to beat a child in the head with a Board, I know many people question things like this, and it’s Sad to say, it’s not the first nor the last time that senseless acts have been committed like this. Derrion Albert was a 16 year old Honor Roll student that attended Fenger High School in Chicago, it’s rumored that at the school two gangs have been going back and forth for the Past month, and each time a student is injured, just this time its outcome is an innocent Death. Children at the school informed Derrion’s mother that he was only involved to help out a friend. This is a sad story and our prayers here at HH.C go out to Derrion’s family. They killin these f*ckin blooogggss!

How Fly, How Fly, How Fly... What more can I say? Okay yes this mixtape has been out for a bit, but like have you heard it?! The two brains behind this lackadaisical Mary Jane trip are Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa. They truly are a dynamic duo. With 15 tracks of nothing but chill flows all you have to do is sit back and bob ya head. If you actually "roll up" then this is your savior while doing so. This record just puts you in a whole different place/state of mind. Majority of the songs have very laidback beats with sort of old school background vocals. There are a few songs that are more upbeat than the next but the flow is still chill. Lyrically these two are clever, beyond their time, and real. With lyrics such as "Clear the runway baby, I get money from Sunday to Sunday lady" Wiz Khalifa states in the beginning of Car Service, and "A nigga live in the clouds spendin' more time in the air then I do on the ground" Curren$y, a.k.a. Spitta, expresses on The Checkpoint, you know that these guys aren't playing. Although they both released individual projects this year, Wiz with a mixtape titled Flight School and Curren$y with his solo debut album This Aint No Mixtape, these guys definitely should stay in cahoots. The music, to the right audience, is a breathe of fresh air. No matter what you do as an extra curricular activity, *wink wink*, you should definitely check them out 'cause they killin these f*ckin bloooggsss! (Lol I love that line)

Usually on some C.Ds we seem to listen and skip, but on this album I can actually listen all the way through no skipping and just zone out, that’s the type of music I like to buy. In his first week BP3 sold 476,000 copies, and is estimated in Pushing over 200,000 copies in his second week; Jay Z was also commended for surpassing “Elvis Presley” on having the most Number One albums, he’s also been named #1on the following charts…U.S Billboard Top 200, Top Rap Albums, Top R&B and Hip Hop albums, Canadian Albums, and Digital Albums. What other artist has been Number One on the Charts like that? Now what do you think; is He a Legend or Not.

Gorilla Zoe and 'DOPE'fat

Yet to be released is a new record from Gorilla Zoe produced by Tony Dofat, better known as one of the main producers that worked with Da Band from season 3 of Making The Band. I heard this crazy joint, via Dofat's tinychat room, and I must say when it comes out, although the name of the track was never released, it will be a huge success.

The hook, beat, and melody is catchy in a different way. It's not so much catchy in a gimmicky type way but catchy in an "Ok, yeah I like this" type way, lol you get what I'm trying to say. It's definitely something you'll throw on, when a friend comes over, to be like "yo I bet you aint heard that new Zoe tho" lol. Honestly if it doesn't make out to be a huge commercial radio success, it'll definitely be a huge success to the true music lovers. Just know when it does hit airwaves, no matter what the title of the track is, brittany k. told you that its hott w/ two t's.

Slow Ya Roll

Okay I just got a chance to watch The Real World 22 Cancun Reunion, and was it me or was Emilee(pictured to the left) looking a bit DRAMATIC?! She practically stole the show but not in a cute way. Her behavior was extremely distasteful. I should've known she was about to show out when she stormed off stage because MTV showed a clip of cast mate Bronne chewing out her and Ayiiia. Then the Train Wreck, as I like to call her, started in on the tatted rocker of the cast, Joey. First she started by not letting him speak, then she went as far as to say that if she was on her period she would take her tampon out and smack him in the face?! Okay yes that was a response from him telling her to stop pms'ing, but in his defense that was basically his only come back to her constantly talking over him. I personally don’t blame him. She seriously needs help. On the show she did indeed admit that she takes medication but that's for A.D.H.D; not Insanity.

Look people, if you go on a reality show act yourself, and if by chance you really are crazy then pretend your hardest to act normal, because the rest of the world does not know you and your antics on TV. Can be the lasting perception that the world has and I’m pretty sure you don’t wanna be perceived as a crazy moron.

Well word around town is that boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has recruited the WWE superstar “Triple H” to walk him to the ring for his upcoming fight against, Featherweight Champion, Juan Manuel Marquez. Let’s see how this turns out, so tune in on September 19th live on PPv… In the football world, Playboy Model Kendra Wilkinson’s husband, Hank Baskett was picked up by the Indianapolis Colts this week, after subsequently being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles to make room for Michael Vicks return. To Script or Not to Script?

Okay so, I was over at Necole Bitchie's site and I got a chance to see Oprah's Whitney Houston interview. I love Whitney & I'm glad she's getting back on track but while watching the interview, one question kept crossing my mind: Is this real, or real scripted?

I mean yes, Whitney revealed some not-so-glamorous details about her & bobby's relationship, one of which included him spitting in her face in front of their baby girl! (SMH) & yes, she admitted to getting very deep into drugs to the point where she would just lock herself in the room & do her dirt. But I thought it was crazy how Whitney never gave an "umm" or a pause to think about an answer, regardless of how personal or how intense the question was. She did throw some pauses in for dramatic effect though! ;-) haha. I understand that celebrities are prepped before an interview as sort of a "heads up" about what questions will be asked, but I think Oprah's team did more than that. The only other thing that bothered me a little was that Whitney spoke as if doing drugs was beneath her, yet she admitted to still having the craving for drugs because "it takes time to cleanse". Wendy Williams had a lil' bit to say about the interview as well, but she gets more credibility than me on the subject because she revealed that she used to smoke that shit some years back too!

Scripted or not, the interview was definitely interesting. I think overall, it was a good look for Whitney & more than anything people are admiring her strength and her perseverance in overcoming drug addiction and an emotionally abusive marriage. Honey, the things that go on behind closed doors! =-O wow! In any case, Whitney Houston is back & I hope the plethora of love and encouragement she is receiving from her fans keeps her focused on continuing her amazingly successful career. Go cop her album "I Look to You" & decide for yourself is Ms. Houston is still "thee voice"!

Let That Man Live!

In a world where we as a culture are insanely obsessed with the lives of celebrities, the media plays a crucial role in our opinions about people and current events. Sometimes the media confirms our thoughts, while other times it influences us to completely change our opinion. One thing that’s been bothering me lately is the overwhelmingly negative attitude that the media has taken toward Chris Brown. I know a lot of people are on opposite sides of the spectrum on this issue: either they hate Breezy or they love ‘em. I personally still love him as an entertainer. From the very beginning of his career, I’ve thought of him as that cute, funny, all around good-guy-next-door.

Since the incident with Rihanna, the media has crucified Chris for any and everything he does. They judge him as if he is not human, as if he’s not allowed to make mistakes. I saw stories today ridiculing him about looking “unhappy” while completing community service hours. Hmm, maybe it’s just me, but I’d have a hard time putting a smile on if I was in an ugly orange vest picking up trash in a place that smelled like horse sh*t! Agreed? Agreed. It’s like he can’t win for losing! He twitpic’d pictures of his house and the media was quick to deem him a “reckless spender”. Wait, I’m confused. This man bought himself a house and a couple cars. That makes him reckless? Ridiculous. People are quick to comment that he needs to focus on putting his career back together but he catches flack every time he releases a song or tweets about his future endeavors.

The assumption that celebrities have to deal with not having privacy has always baffled me. Yes, they are in the public eye however I feel like the media, as well as the public, should respect that they’re as human as the next person. They need their “me time” just like the rest of us. They want to spend time with their families, or significant others, or alone time for that matter, without having to worry about paparazzi runnin’ up on ‘em! Honey if I was a celeb, Lord help me because I’d pull a Kanye on the Paps every other day. I think that with the vast amount of focus and idolization that the media has created for celebrities also comes a great downfall: unreal expectations. We cannot expect celebrities to go through this crazy world without stepping on a few toes or tripping and falling along the way. Essentially, we’re all human and that equates to us all being capable of making mistakes. At the end of the day, who are we to judge?

So, to Breezy: Do you babe! Use the negativity as a stepping stone to success.

Hey world… crazy world that is… Man over the past few weeks so much has occurred. From the Passing of Patrick Swayze to Whitney Houston making a wonderful comeback to the mainstream scene to her blasting all of her Life on the two day interview on Oprah, Bow Wow signed to Cash Money [say whaaaatttttt] Jay Z released Blueprint 3 [and I must add he got some bangers, Jay was going Ham on this album] Opening season for the NFL and you know my boys the Steelers had to show what’s Poppin. [Everyone needs to say a Prayer for Troy Polamalu he was injured during that game.] See guys so much has been going on, but with so little time to address all of the antics of the world the first topic I must speak on is my boy Kanye West!!!

Can we say Hood Nigga!! My whole opinion of the topic has been biased for the simple fact that I myself, I’m very blunt and open minded… so I can agree with him for saying what he did! Also not to add that I’m a big Beyonce Fan, so I mean I seen where he was coming from. Then I look at Taylor swift and see a young woman who is new in the Hollywood scene and enjoying all the perks and was overshadowed by an arrogant grown man, so I then start to feel sorry for her! Like if that was my child oh hell nah. Kanye would have got his ass handed to him. But I’m just looking in on the situation so I’m No one to judge like the rest of the world is. After that event aired, it was the most talked about topic on twitter. There was several, trending topics about Taylor Swift and Kanye West, from #teamtaylor to #teamkanye and several more. Now with this being a grown BLACK man and a young Caucasian woman hence the race card was pulled… I went to several different websites, blogs, twitter pages and even wound up on YouTube to replay the scene from the awards and glanced over the comments, I seen the word “nigger” over 100 times that night referring to Kanye, that brought anger within me, only because People can be so ignorant, why feed ignorance with ignorance? I commend Kanye though; he’s apologized several times about the whole get down and is still receiving flack. Let’s get it together world, were all humans and humans are bound to make mistakes; lets live from those mistakes and become one! Hey now don’t judge me, it’s all my personal beliefs, you don’t like it? That then becomes your personal opinion. Well I’ve voiced my beliefs for the moment haha stay tuned
